Responsibility is something Poppy never shies away from – whether its helping lead the next generation or overseeing all things marketing at Signwaves!
Having joined our team as Marketing Executive in April 2018, Poppy impressed and earned her promotion to Marketing Manager in 2021.
Now, she is responsible for a diverse range of marketing, from brochures and posters, to product launches and charity events - and ensuring our customers get the marketing support they need.
“I love being able to get stuck into a big project and manage it from start to finish, whether it be our recent re-brand, improved website or our new exhibition stand – I love seeing a plan come together!”
Poppy started her career in marketing with an apprenticeship in the private education sector. She spent 5 years working within the marketing team where her development of their branding and website resulted in a doubling of sales.
Always eager to learn, Poppy achieved level 3 and 4 qualifications in Digital Marketing and is currently studying a Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship.
“I am covering everything from project management to leading people and it’s great to already be applying so much that I’ve learned in my day-to-day role!”
And outside work, leadership and responsibility are never far away from Poppy, as she spends most of her spare time running local youth groups, including Guide and Ranger units.
“I am a strong believer that today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders. When I’m not planning camping trips for our Guide unit, I’m usually covered in PVA glue doing something crafty with the local youth club!”
Poppy is also a keen charity supporter, having quadrupled fundraising in her previous role and now overseeing Signwaves’ charity events. When she gets the chance, she’s also a keen baker and can often be found whipping up a batch of twice-baked brownies or a zingy lemon drizzle cake.
But, back at work, what is Poppy’s favourite Signwaves product?
“My favourite has to be the Adfresco Café Barrier®. It’s great for advertising, great for separating outside areas and even better when you’re sat beside it enjoying some alfresco dining in the warmer summer months!”
